Swimming to shore immediately might seem like a good idea; however, it often entails dangerous conditions such as distance, currents, and fatigue, which could result in exhaustion or drowning before reaching safety. Panic and shouting for help can waste valuable energy, create confusion, and doesn't increase your chances of rescue. Trying to swim underwater to safety is also risky as it can lead to disorientation and drowning. Thus, remaining with the capsized boat is a more strategic and safer choice in this situation.
